RE: Steemit's new economic paradigm, or: Why Steemit might just work

in #money8 years ago

Steemit as I see (just started a few minutes ago) has a great potential to become a large network. Because of the descentralized nature, it can be better than FB in terms of freedom. I'm not even worried about how it will mature over time.

However, some things are still unclear on the long run. In the financial aspect, how will it hold up (having steem dollars linked to US dollars) in comming world crisis (as predicted periodically for FIAT money based economies)?

Can it hold up, as a media network, even if the financial aspect dont? (purelly speculatively speaking)
