There has been a (as you call it) a "zombie apocalypse" taking place in the US since the dollar stopped being backed by gold in 1971. This was a sign for greed and "the greedy elite" to CONTROL the dollar, not back up the dollar. I see the future as being analogous to lighting a fire with the rubbing of two sticks. Once a spark hits the dry dollar, it will go up in smoke sending silver, gold, and crypto to unreal heights. Of course the banks will fight this. However once they figure out how to make BIG money on these new instruments, this, in turn, will send all the "rats" after the cheese - thereby skyrocketing hard monetary instruments and crypto. The problem will then be what the governments of different countries can do to inject their regulatory poison into the system. Who knows?
