RE: Can Someone Be So Wealthy it Becomes Obnoxious? Absolutely

in #money8 years ago

Steph !! I am amazed at you saying this ... wow ... Of course the writing is great ... but ... I am amazed at the "wealth bashing" mud slinging.
I soo wish you would write a story about "This" family you are attacking and show why they DO live this way ..
I have enough sense to never argue/debate with a writer ... I just don't have the skills ...

See, you are calling MY DREAM a horrible thing and attacking ME personally and soo many like me when you talk like this. You are a very good writer and people jump on this "Hate Wagon" you're creating.

My Plan or concept is, believe it or not is what I call "Pro Flow Centralized Farming". An Idea and formula to create many good paying jobs and bring "High Quality Healthy Food" to the market that is substantially cheaper or affordable for so many that can't afford "Quality" food now.

And YES, I imagine being so damn busy that I will have a full staff and estate as you described. Helping so many people that YES I will have a HUGE house because you can't help SO MANY PEOPLE with a standard size house, staff and kitchen.

Please try to Imagine very wealthy people doing wonderful things with their wealth utilizing Huge estates and staffs instead of renting a huge building or offices and "Help" centers etc.

I would LOVE to read your story IF YOU were one of these very wealthy doing great works as human beings in DEFENSE or response of your story.

I read and then listened to the audiobook of the Lecture "Acres of Diamonds" by Russell Conwell honestly at least one hundred times before I heard the phrase, "You can do more good with money, than without it".

That one sentence changed my life .... I have had many chances to make a "Lot" of money, but it didn't interest me ... Happiness was always my personal goal, not wealth. Until that one line finally reached out and grabbed me. Now ... it IS TIME !

I think it's wonderful if people who have a ton of money use it to create jobs and make the world a better place. I've just met a lot of semi-wealthy people who are amazingly stingy. And, the tone of the ads I was reading on EstateJobs.com were mostly pretty condescending, like they thought their wealth made them better than other people. I definitely don't have a problem with being wealthy....like I said in the article, I aspire to it myself....I just have an issue with people who are super wealthy and do nothing for the world and are snobby about it. This article was about THOSE people. :)

Your response, imho really adds weight to your post and does clarify a bit more. Thank you.
