That's true. I've seen people upvoting short, witty comments, as well as longer, more meaningful comments. Ultimately what I've noticed was that anything you say is good, but anything that contributes to the conversation is better. Contribution really is key. I definitely want to--not just to get up votes, because that's dumb if it's the only reason, but because Steem is worth contributing and building into an on-going quality place.
