100 years at first thought may seem like a long time. With more thought, you may change that thought. A century is constantly on the mind of investors looking to build that unbreakable legacy.
To quell the problems and financial situations of your future seed, before they even manifest is a true accomplishment indeed. 100 years ago, the US had a population over 105 million. You could buy flour, a pound of steak, pork chops, bacon, butter, a dozen of eggs, and 1/2 gallon of milk for under $5. Minimum wage was no where near $1 and crazy enough, construction workers make more than some government workers. The value of the dollar has dramatically decreased over the years, which has led to new and innovative ideas to not only stay afloat, but possibly start anew and even better than before.
With the introduction of cryptocurrency, minds and portfolios worldwide are expanding to new possibilities. Not even 10 years in existence and a market cap flirting with $100 Billion, it’s safe to say not only will currencies like Bitcoin stick around, but transform. Now obviously, in 100 years, due to mass inflation, cost of living, etc, $1 Million may not be the same. It may even be the new lower class. Crazy right? What if insane McAfee predictions come to fruition about Bitcoin come 2020. Will $1 Million even matter then? There are many variables and “what-ifs” to this scenario, so that century long plan will have to constantly be modified and tinkered with. None of us will be around to annotate or cosign any of the tribulations and misfortunes on the road to financial freedom. On the flip side, your new generation will bear the fruits of your hard labor, possibly doubling it further contributing to your legacy. There’ s no telling what the future will hold, but until then,
