When you look at the wallets of experienced Steemians you often see they have pretty staggering sums of currency in their wallets. Not only does this give them dollars, but also gives them more clout on the platform.
These wallets - most of which were created only a year or so ago are PROOF of the power of compounding. The price of Steem was a joke compared to where it is now, even with the drop last year. Those who kept steeming got Steem when it was worth 15 cents. Now their accounts are looking mighty healthy.
Your little minnow post today may attract a few followers. Who knows who those followers are or who they might become in the future.
The point of this post is to think BIG! Small gains now will amount to larger gains later. It's all through the power of compounding.

While the math certainly works out, what concerns me is the future of crypto currencies. As far as I know, the oldest crypto currencies are only about a decade old. Thus I'm not sure about keeping your Steem invested for something like 40 years. I guess only the future will tell!
