MONEY FOR ALL - FEW WITH MONEY

in #money7 years ago

Money is any acceptable medium of exchange for goods and service. Our forefathers used cowries and food stuffs as medium of exchange as dated.
But as colonization came into Nigeria, we were introduced into using manilas and shillings.

Our first acceptable currencies were the Naira (which was equivalent to 10 shillings) and Kobo (where 100 of it makes 1naira) . It came into legalization in January 1, 1973. Since then till now, we have been able to recycle and print more denomination of currencies. From 1973 till 2005, we were able to print denominations of currency ranging from the 1Kobo to 1000Naira note.

Money should be durable, portable, divisible, limitedly supplied, uniformed and acceptable.
Anything outside the above characteristics shouldn't be called money.

Truly, these monies we are in possession of isn't really ours. We are just part-time owners when the money is in our hands. Once it leaves our hands, it get back to where it was printed.
Many people draft plans on what to do with money before it comes. Sadly, when they are in possession of money, they seem to forget their top priorities and spend it on lesser preferences.
Others squeeze money as though it's a folio of paper.
I was opportune to work in an Uncle of mine frozen food company as an assistant to the cashier. Not only did I see the buyers squeezed money, they cashier victimized monies by writing on them. I felt the pains of money and decided to treat it right from henceforth.
