On 21 December 2017, the Central Bank of Tunisia will issue a new Tunisian currency in the category of 20 dinars
The coin contains the image of martyr Farhat Hached (1914-1952)
Farhat Hached (Arabic: فرحات حشاد), born February 2, 1914 in El Abassia (Kerkennah) and murdered on December 5, 1952 near Radès, is a Tunisian trade unionist.
He is one of the main leaders of the national movement with Habib Bourguiba and Salah Ben Youssef. He was reportedly murdered by the Foreign Intelligence and Counterintelligence Service (SDECE), a French intelligence service, whose assassination was long attributed to La Main Rouge, an armed organization favorable to the French presence in Tunisia.
