RE: Are Digital Currencies the New Stock Market?

That is why it is hard for the pros to beat the Buffett 10 year, million dollar bet against a SPX500 index fund.
I guess my brain is just stuck in equities because for the life of me I don't buy the value of most coins. Except for Steem. I can see the value in Steemit thereby Steem has value behind it. I guess I'm like Buffett in that I never was a gold lover. It doesn't do or produce anything! I guess I equate coins to gold in that way.

I completely understand that.

There are a lot of coins that do not bring value, and they will fall by the wayside after the initial excitement.

Steem has the advantage of an engaged user base - the technology on its own won't do anything which is where a lot of coins disconnect from reality.

Oh good and silver, haha, I am in the monetary history camp so I am waiting for a revaluation of paper currencies before I get off the metals wagon.

Just for fun you got to read this one minute piece from Buffett about gold, farmland, and ExxonMobil!

"Intelligent people make decisions based on opportunity costs,"

Love that quote from Charlie Munger.

That was a great article. Thank you for sharing!

Sage advice from Buffett there, and I agree with him but I'd still buy metals right now until we have a new reserve currency - after that, give me a horse farm with lots of land, haha.

Thanks much for taking the time to read it!
Yes I'm a fan of Charlie. He is a gem!

Of course! You recommended it so I wanted to read it.

I am as well. The combination of Charlie and Warren are a joy to listen to.
