I take back what I said: Apparently there is a "small date" 1982-d Copper--it was just found in 2016, though, so, maybe the PCGS just hasn't updated it yet? But there's only one known... I found another Large date 1982-d Copper, though! Whoppdee do!! It's worth... Nothing lol. Still Kinda cool...

here's an iphone app that i put together in 2010 showing some other coins to cherry-pick:

Ok.. i see that you found that one from 2016

Yes... Although, if you look on etsy, there are at least two vendors trying to pass Large date off as small dates... :/ The eight on the large date is wayy bigger... and the 2 is closer to the edge on large as well.

I'm in 1982 penny heaven over here. I've literally found every single 1982 penny EXCEPT the copper 1982 and 1982-d SMALL dates... I have both copper large dates though!! And like I said, this was in like 10 rolls or so... I guess those copper ones aren't as rare as I thought... Still kinda neat. I need to get me one of those books to keep them all in. My living room looks like I robbed a bank lol.

or just put 'em rolls with labels

Yes.. very cool. I'm super stoked, because in my first week of hunting, through around maybe 10 rolls so far? I've found... edit: 3 -1982 LG date; 2 - 1982-D LG date (one of which is the weird one that might be copper); and 2 - 1982-D SMALL date. (Phew!! That was difficult to get straight lol). But so now I'm definitely gonna do a post on these 1982 pennies!! Which one would be the most valuable , in your opinion?

well it looks like the '82 Philly Bronze small date edges out the large date as far as MS66 and up goes.

The Zincs aren't worth much until you hit MS68.

Keep looking for the 82-D small date Bronze/copper (Brass actually i think).

Yeah.. oh I'll keep lookin!! Wouldn't mind finding the '82 Philly small copper, either! Like I said, I've got the Denver and the Philly Large dates in bronze, the latter is def Red, but it's maybe a MS66. But you're right--they're not really worth all that much; the bronze ones, that is.. I was all hyped when I found one--then another, then ANOTHER lol. Evidence, obviously, that they're not near as rare as I had expected!! (unfortunately) :( I think the nicest one of the lot, which also happens to be the most valuable, is my Philly '82 zinc Large Date. It's gotta be at least a 67... Which is only like $75 USD lol but hey, for spendin around 6-7 bucks or so (not to mention, it's fun!!), that's not too bad!!

On another note, you should totally do a post on your story about making that Nolan Ryan coin! I know some people would love it--it's got baseball and numismatism (is that the right word?? I can never get it right). Are you a big sports fan? I guess in 1992, Ryan was getting ready to retire from the Rangers soon--I guess they were doing it for that? How did you score the "gig," so to speak??
