There are so many cryptocoins out there to really know how many will survive and success.
I think proof of work coins will eventually crash because there are very energy inefficient. But I think at least few of them will continue to grow for several years. In my opinion the two POW coins that more time will keep going are Bitcoin and litecoin.
I think on large term many proof of stake coins will survive and get the highest market cap. In this segment I vote for Peercoin and Ethereum.
And there will be other utility cryptocoins than will be used to create tokens (Ethereum or Bitshares), store data on the cloud (Maidsafecoin), rent hash power for scientific or industrial purposes (Gridcoin or Golem) etc. I call them "efficient proof of work" coins. They will not have a very big market cap but they will be essential for Internet infrastructure.
