THE MARITIM OF THE WORLD
We still remember the promise that President Jokowi promised during the presidential election campaign yesterday, one of which makes the country of Indonesia as the World Maritime Poros.Semoga noble ideals and visions that can be realized, by managing the good potential of Indonesia's marine wealth is so great. Of course, the Government must improve the welfare of Human Resources in maritime field, one of them is Seafarers.
Sailors' Expectations to the Government of Indonesia
There are still many expectations of sailors to the government of president Jokowi, including:
RATIFICATION "MARITIME LABOR CONVENTION (MLC) 2006
Until now Indonesia has not ratified the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) 2006, whereas every country in the world must ratify MLC 2006, which was enforced on 20 August 2013. MLC 2006 itself is an international legal umbrella concerning,
Welfare, security, and safety of seafarers.
Di negara tetangga,seperti Myanmar dan Vietnam pelaut sudah di berikan standar gaji yang layak, bahkan di Philipina sejak lama pelautnya menjadi anak emas oleh negara.Berbeda sekali pelaut Indonesia,menjadi anak tiri di negerinya sendiri,Pemerintah sepertinya tidak perduli dengan nasib pelaut, malah di jadikan obyek terus tanpa membela kepentingan pelaut.
Beban Pelaut semakin berat,gaji yang masih minim,Perlindungan dan keselamatan kerja yang buruk,persaingan kerja semakin ketat,di tambah lagi peryaratan sertifikasi untuk memenuhi aturan Amandemen STCW 2010.Terus sampai kapan nasib pelaut semakin baik.
POROS MARITIM DUNIA
Kita masih ingat nawa cita yang dijanjikan presiden Jokowi saat kampanye Pilpres kemarin, salah satunya menjadikan negara Indonesia sebagai Poros Maritim Dunia.Semoga cita-cita dan visi yang mulia itu dapat terwujud, dengan mengelola yang baik Potensi kekayaan laut Indonesia yang begitu besar. Tentunya Pemerintah harus meningkatkan kesejahteraan Sumber Daya Manusia di bidang kemaritiman,salah satunya Pelaut.
Harapan Pelaut kepada Pemerintah Indonesia
Masih banyak harapan pelaut kepada pemerintahan presiden Jokowi,diantaranya :

Sampai sekarang Indonesia belum meratifikasi Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) 2006,padahal setiap negara di dunia wajib meratifikasi MLC 2006, yang diberlakukan mulai tanggal 20 Agustus 2013.MLC 2006 sendiri merupakan payung hukum internasional menyangkut,
kesejahteraan,keamanan,dan keselamatan pelaut.
