Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some frozen photos from the past for this one!
Snowy Reflection Monochrome Monday
I've got a lot of photos from the years that I've been taking them and sharing them here on Hive. Not all of them are great, but there are some good ones sprinkled in here and there!
Since I haven't been able to get out and take some photos lately, I knew that I needed to take a look back into my archives to figure out some photos for this weeks post. I don't love that I have to do that, but we manage what we can!
Years ago I took a really nice hike with my son, it was actually a snow shoeing adventure. We were going for quite a ways, which looking back wasn't the best idea because we didn't have a lot of supplies and I ended up working the kid more than I should have, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. I was able to take a few cool photos, and this being one of them! I remember it and just happened to randomly walk up and snap the photo, but it ended up being a pretty cool and iconic photo from the trip!
With the water theme continuing, there is another one here.
This one was a fun adventure that I took with my son at one of the lakes that we like to spend time at. They drain the lakes in the winter, and this exposes all kinds of areas for us to go exploring and we happened to follow a path a ways and came out to one of the tributary creeks that fed the lake. It was frozen, mostly, but there is always a bit of flowing water along the way to give you a little treat!
The funny and terrible thing about this experience is that I ended up getting my foot sunk in the mud here, and it was COLD. It wasn't a good experience lol but it was better me than my son because we were a decent ways down the track when this happened. We had to turn around and head back, trudging muddy and smelly water the whole way in my boot.
I think these are some of my favorite types of photos. After a nice fresh snow, taking a good perspective and photo down the lake. We really love going here in the winter, as it is full of adventures! With the lowered waterline, you get to explore all kinds of nooks and crannies. We spent quite a few hours walking around this place and enjoying it, with some good photos as a result of the time. I know that it's going to be fun looking back at these when my son is older and I can explain to him all of the different things we did, mainly because we have lots of photos to evidence it!
I think the reflective nature of the lake, combined with black and white on the edit is really something special. I love how these things look!

That first photo definitely works really well with the mono theme. The house with the snow and everything. Very nice!
Thanks dude it's one of my favorite winter ones so far!
Muy bonito el relato, también las imágenes... Saludos, bendiciones y éxitos...❤️
