Wintertime is
mulled wine time
Long shadows, warm light, the first snowflakes - we love the pre-Christmas season. There are many things that make the weeks before the festival of love really special. But a very important annual ritual is of course: the hunt for the best mulled wine recipe.
Here is my recipe ... my favorite:
Mulled Wine
Ingredients for 8 Portionen
1 liter dry red wine
500 ml grape juice white
3 bars of cinnamon
2 star anise
1 teaspoon clove
4 untreated oranges
300 ml of rum
Preparation
Put the red wine with the juice, cinnamon, anise and cloves in a saucepan and heat slowly. In the meantime, wash the oranges thoroughly, cut in half and slice, add to the other ingredients in the pot. Reduce the temperature, the wine must not cook!
Let the mulled wine soak for at least 30 minutes, then add the rum and heat again.
Add sugar to taste, fill in a pre-heated bowl and serve.
Very good with gingerbread!
