There's a lot of wild horses roaming around the Mt. Platak in Croatia.
I am not sure if this is true, but story goes that in the past people used to get some kind of financial support from the government when they were acquiring animals like that. Allegedly, folks were doing this, getting the money, but were releasing the animals into the forrest. Now, that’s wrong on so many levels...
However, I gotta be honest, every time I visit Platak and see a herd of wild horses, I love the sight :)
So does my son who gets completely amazed by the view.
Here’s one of them.
Don’t worry, he wasn’t alone, the herd was stretched around…

The image was put through a severe post processing torture :)
It’s just because the horse was black and the background was also more-less dark. So I had to play with dodge and burn tools in PS to get this contrast and details.
Here’s how the original looks.
I hope you like what I did here.
Let me know what you think.

It's amazing how the black and white processing brings out details that were hiding in muddy colourfulness... MUCH improved and how lovely to see a wild horse. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the comment. Yes, sometimes the b&w edit really saves the picture...
