Hello. I ended up here from the recent @sndbox post as I'm interested in becoming a member.
Very thoughtful post. I really don't know much about statues so forgive my ignorance. But do you think that new statues aren't being made as much or hold as much significant as they once were because modern heroes are being celebrated and enshrined in other mediums and formats such as TV and the internet?
Just a random thought I had whilst reading your post.
Thanks for sharing this and making me think about statues and their place in the modern world.
