I am sorry to hear that you have nerve damage. Especially in the neck area. I have a lot of nerve damage in my shoulders and upper arms, yes it is hard to live with, but the alternative is not acceptable.
It has taken years and years for the pain levels that I have to develope. It does not help when doctors just don't know what the cause is. One thing I have found that seems to be helping me is what is called Lion's Mane Tincture. It is a mushroom soaked in alcohol. I use one teaspoon a day every morning. It seems to be helping a little bit, but I know it took a lot of years for the pain to develope, and that there really are no overnight cures for the pain. We just have to live with it, and make the best of life as we can. There is no illusion when it comes to nerve pain, it is pretty much life long, or so it seems to be. I'll let you know in a couple of years if the Tincture is still helping at least as far as I know it is not toxic.
There is always hope, some young and upcoming medical scientist may one day find a cure. I actually have a lot of faith in the scientist. Look at @suesa, 21 years old and the next Isacc Asimov. There is always hope. and:
It will take my entire life
to become myself
when I become myself
I'll be home
Death - rupi kaur :That was and is an excellent quote. I really like it. We live our life being who and what we are always remembering to learn a little bit about ourselves along the way. I will always have more to learn about myself.
