According to an analysis done on the 'rusty' lunar
rock brought to earth by the Apollo 16 mission in
1 972, the Moon originated in very hot conditions.
It could have been so hot that any water present
on the lunar surface would have evaporated
very early in the Moon's history.
This finding contradicts another study which
suggested presence of water on the Moon.
Uhmm it has been known for years that the deep craters of the moon that are so deep they never see sunlight, water is present in its icy condition. And because that the sun can not reach the icy to melt it temperatures stay far below freezing in those crates.
The moon always has some water on its body and will still have for many years to come ;)
Until the sun burns through its fuel triggering the fusion of heavier elements the temp around the moon will not change so were safe for now :)
