5AM Thoughts - Day One is Always Easy

in #morning6 years ago (edited)

4:45 The first notes of Coldplay - Atlas come from across the counter, louder than anticipated. Finally. The first though rushes through. I jump out of the couch with a spring. I guess a part of me had been waiting to get up for a while now.

Why am I not sleeping in bed? No, no, I'm ok, I'm not unwell, it's just.. I don't know, precautionary maybe?

So, anyway.. This! What is this?

Sorry to disappoint, but it's not for you. It's not to entertain or teach. It's not to make much sense or any earnings for that matter. This is purely for me to stay on my own track. I've mentioned this before, for me, it's quite simple - I am nearly a completely different person if only I get up in a timely manner. I suddenly have enough energy and time to do the things I otherwise can never get around to doing. But then, suddenly you've powered through the whole agenda for the day, way before everyone has even woken up.

Mornings are simply powerful and I love them. The trick is just to get up. And keep getting up when it starts to get tough (usually around day 3) and you end up in the middle of the room, in dark, questioning yourself - why are you even doing this?

The most challenging mornings are those where I'm not in my own environment and I feel extremely awkward and fearful of waking anyone up, like the following weekends, when I'll be Home-Home in order to help with the move. But hey, before that there's going to be that pesky 3rd-day checkpoint and if I can get past That AND the weekend, I'll be pretty much golden.

Alright, anyway, talk tomorrow, I still have plenty to do..

Hugs, coffee and have a great day ahead!

Just looked up the whole soundtrack for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire and realized it's freaking awesome! Besides Atlas, there is also my absolutely favourite song by the Lumineers and all kinds of various goodies.
Thanks for finding something new for me today music wise :P
May the Force be with you on those checkpoints! :)

For me Atlas has nothing to do with Hunger Games, so I don't even know the rest of the songs you're reffering to. xD

Oh I was sure it had nothing to do with Hunger Games for you and that's all fine and dandy :D
I just looked up Atlas on Spotify and found out about the soundtrack from there. Really loved the whole album, even though I haven't seen any movie from the series.
