شخص نصاب و حرامي دخل محل لبيع الكتب ليشتري كتاب بقيمة 10 دولار و كانت معه ورقة من فئة 100 دولار و لكنها مزورة , قدم المائة دولار المزورة لصاحب المحل و لم يلاحظ صاحب المحل أنها مزورة فأخذها و لكنه لم يكن لديه فكة " لم يكن معه صرف فئات اصغر" فخرج لصاحب المطعم الذي بجواره ليفكها له لفئات اصغر و قام باعطاء الكتاب و باقي المائة دولار اي 90 دولار للشخص النصاب الذي أخذها بدوره و انصرف
بعد نصف ساعة جاء صاحب المطعم إلى صاحب محل الكتب ليعيد له المائة دولار و يخبره أنها مزورة فأخذها صاحب محل الكتب و هو لا يستطيع أن ينبس بكلمة فهذا خطأه هو اذ لم يتأكد من أنها حقيقية و أعاد لصاحب المطعم 100 دولار أخرى حقيقة
