Don't be a moron!
More specifically, don't throw $40,000 on a 2019 Dodge Ram (a great vehicle, I'm sure) but then whine about how much you hate your job. Don't spend 8-10 hours a day in misery so that you can spend a brief portion of you day riding in a little bit of style and comfort. There's a better way to go about your life!
One might think this kind of knowledge is innate but... I have, sadly, seen this exact situation in play.
Blowing that kind of money on a vehicle when its only purpose is to move you back and forth between home and the place you hate the most? It's a bit shameful, really.
Rather, take the $40,000 and let it contribute to getting you out of your job sooner (somehow, some way, but maybe we'll talk about that later). I am convinced that a chunk of cash like that can and should be used more productively: not just to alleviate the pain of a crappy commute to a dull workplace. There's no excuse.
If you can afford such a fine vehicle (i.e. acquiring it requires no sacrifice on your or another's part) then, by all means, get it and enjoy it!
But, otherwise, don't be a moron!
