Baby Tracking App for New Parents

in #motherhood8 years ago

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to share a great app that I've been using since Avery was born. After you've given birth and have been discharged from the hospital, the doctors and nurses will advise you to track your baby's sleep patterns, his feedings and his poop. Also, if you plan to breastfeed, you will want to remember which breast your baby nursed from last in order to start the new nursing session from the other breast. I was so sleep deprived and exhausted that I honestly would never have remembered which breast Avery nursed from last. My lactation consultant at the hospital was a gem. She not only showed me how to latch on the baby correctly, but also told me about this great baby tracking app called Baby Tracker, by Nighp Software LLC. There are many more trackers, but this one was the best one for us and I used it since Avery was one day old! It helped me track his feeding habits, his diaper changes and most important of all his sleep patterns. I was able to learn his sleep patterns and adjust myself to it and could predict when he would be sleepy again. This way Avery hardly ever got overtired and fussy and was quite easy to learn to fall asleep on his own.

Here are some screenshots from my data:

The weekly overviews are so great to compare the data of the day or the entire week. It also helps when you visit the Pediatrician - whatever they ask, you can look up. This app also lets you track vaccinations, fever, tummy time (or any kind of playtime), milestones, the food your baby ate, etc.

If you are breastfeeding, this app will also let you log your pumping data - which breast you pumped from, how many ounces you pumped and the overall inventory.

I used this app for everything and it helped me sleep train Avery. I stopped using it once Avery turned one year old and plan on using it soon again!

There are few other baby tracking apps, so if you find another great one, please share!

Thanks so much! I shared this with a friend who just gave birth a few weeks ago.

I'd triple upvote this if I could just because I found this app weeks after I wish I had! And once I found it i LOVED it.

Will definitely use again if/when I have another baba.

Huh this sounded silly but if it helps people/moms that's great.
