Limitations of hearing because deaf hearing do not make Siti Nur Lathifah break the spirit of pursuing a dream. Siti Nur Lathifah is one of the many interesting and inspiring stories told in the book The Awakening of the Duafa at the celebration of Bidikmisi in Jakarta. The book was submitted directly by Minister of Education and Culture Mohammad Nuh to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Student of the Department of Fine Arts in Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java, is indeed experiencing limitations in hearing. However, the physical limitations do not necessarily make this student class of 2011 to stop performing.

He was actually born like a normal baby in general. His hearing was disturbed when he was seven years old. He had an accident while playing a bike.
"As a result, I can not hear," said Lathifah, a familiar nickname of this college student.
As a child, Lathifah often left his parents to earn a living. His father worked as a builder, while his mother became a screen printing worker. Practically, he played unattended.
Since the accident and consequently, Lathifah always tried to accept his limitations. Only, he reveals, once in a time he was very feel inferior. The peak occurs when he stepped on class X.
"I am very inferior, not confident, because often mocked normal friends," said Lathifah.
Because often get ridicule, Lathifah admitted got angry and disappointed to God. However, many people around him are encouraging and motivating. Her principal often invites her to attend various motivational seminars.
Until finally, since class XI, Lathifah gradually realized and could accept the situation. He no longer focuses on his limitations, but begins to occupy himself with hobbies, namely fashion and cosmetology.
Lathifah began to follow and win the races. One by one achievement he achieved. Gradually, his confidence even strengthened.
"I am increasingly grateful for the gift of God entrusted to me, although I have limitations, but I can excel," he said.
