Dealing with Procrastination (2 methods):

A lot of people find it necessary to do things later. They feel it's not the right time yet, that it probably will be better off done at another time. Others feel it's a problem that they have to deal with procrastination. Regardless of your situation, here are 2 methods you could use to forestall the negative effects of procrastination:

  1. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT IN DETAIL: The first point of approaching everything is knowing what exactly you are approaching. You probably wouldn't want to walk into the grocery store without knowing what to buy, that'll tear your budget into pieces. Knowing your goals in detail is very important, it helps you to identify the value of your dreams and how they contribute to your development. It also helps you to know how much you're losing out as a result of wanting to do it later. To do this, write down your personal goals in exact detail, say you wanna make $40,000 in the next two years. Something like this will make you realize that a day without a work on this goal means you just pushed your goal a day further. Details matter. Practise it.

2.STAY FOCUSED: There are a lot of distractions all over the world, so it's very likely that a simple commercial can get you to subscribe to a service you never really needed, or an attractive object in the shopping mall can prevent you from buying those toys you promised to buy for the kids. Staying focused helps you to nullify the effects of procrastination by making sure those goals are the only things that matter to you at the moment. To do this, first identify the things that easily distract you from approaching your goals. Afterwards you have to be highly conscious of these things, quickly identifying and stopping them each time. It may be hard at first, but with time you will be used to it.

As the saying goes, we only got today. So get up and get it done.
