After reading this article, you will learn how to get rid of fatigue, stop coming up with excuses for your laziness and just start working.
"I'm too tired". Too many of my first projects have not been realized because of this proposal. This easily and simply can justify failure in any work. It's easy to justify yourself. But if excuses are an excuse, this does not mean that they lead to the desired result.
I can always remember a time when I felt more energetic and able to do something really worthwhile than when I say "I'm too tired". With this you need to do something.
But what, what to do? Run a few laps? To sleep more? To drink five cans of energy? (The latter only works for my development friends, do not try again.)
We often feel morally exhausted due to the fact that we are often distracted.
The problem is not that we are too tired. The problem is that our attention is too absent-minded.
Most of us probably have a dozen projects that we have to deal with at the same time or, worse still, to score on ones one for the sake of others. This circumstance undermines our confidence that we can do a new job well (or bring it to the end). And this is a significant obstacle, preventing us from tune in to the creative way, which makes the work so fascinating.
What is the solution? If I really want to start doing something, then I need to finish it mentally. Just imagine that the work that I have to do has already been completed, and I did not give up anything halfway.
You need to mentally adjust yourself to work. This decision sounds simple, it is akin to the ease with which we delete the completed item from our list of cases. To begin with, I ask myself a few questions:
What place does this work occupy in the list of my priorities? Having completed this task, you will deal with one of the obligations, stop being nervous because of uncompleted work or it will be easier for you to do something else.
How long will it take me to complete the task? Since we often want to deal with something complicated or tedious in order to move to new and interesting projects, it is in our best interest to do the work in a reasonable time.
Are there any psychological barriers that prevent me from completing my work? Certainly, they are available: a large amount of information that needs to be analyzed in order to fulfill the task in good faith; fear of possible difficulties to be faced; fear of getting negative feedback. All this prevents us from getting down to business, and the more we feed these fears, the harder it will be for us to start working on the task.
When I have answers to these questions, I know what to do first.
It is even more important to catch the first impulse - the feeling of inspiration and delight that we experience when we start to do something new. Then it's not so difficult to start the work as it seemed. And when you do something cool, something that you want to share with others, because it will be interesting for them and will bring some benefit, you will not feel insanely tired.
What excuses prevent you from starting to engage in grandiose tasks? Stop procrastinating and just hide from work. Rethink the source of the problem that stands between you and the work. The decision may be illogical, but, perhaps, like me, you need to first finish the work in your mind before you commit to it.
