I have been an ESL Teacher and a Foreign Language Teacher for more than 20 years, I have had great students and lazy ones as well, (one or two sloppy ones per year). What I have noted is that some people are better in some areas of learning, so I teach them helping them to develop their intelligence along with the language learning process.
I have also noted that women are more focused on multitasking abilities, there are a few men who also have developed the ability to perform multitasks, but women have developed more skills at doing so.
I do not believe that anybody is smarter than anybody else, what I know and believe is that some people have developed their intelligence through study, work or experiences.
The following are the 9 types of intelligence according to the Psychologist Howard Gardener:
Naturalist (nature smart)
Musical (sound smart)
Logical-mathematical (number/reasoning smart)
Existential (life smart)
Interpersonal (people smart)
Bodily-kinesthetic (body smart)
Linguistic (word smart)
Intra-personal (self smart)
Spatial (picture smart)
My conclusion: we all are smart enough to develop any activity, but due to social levels and tasks among the social levels, women have had the advantage to develop better skills in multitasking, that does not mean that they are more intlelligent than men, it means that they have had more practice in the field.
