As a former stockbroker, who has watched the same thing happen in the stock market more than once, I'm basically in agreement.
What amateurs fail to recognize is that, when holding any asset (such as STEEM) in a falling market, you have lost nothing until you sell.
If you hold, it is only a paper loss, which as long as the underlying asset has real value, is likely to turn back around and pay off handsomely.
But too many sell in a panic, trying to halt their losses, and end up only setting them in stone. More often then not, had they just waited it out, they not only would not have lost anything, but could have gained a great deal.
I agree that this is a great time to buy. I do have a few cryptos I am investing in, not just STEEM; but only a few, as a lot of them have no real underlying value.
