Don't call it a dream, call it a plan! | Motivation Monday #3

If we break it down, I'm a pretty wake and social guy. I love talking with people, listening to their stories and helping them to take a step forward. But for that i need to know what their goals are. How should i push someone in the right direction, when I don't even know which the right one is. And far more importantly:

How can you move closer to your goals when you never clearly thought about, where they actually are?

Start thinking about that. Try finding your deepest desires and dreams. And when you find them... EXECUTE!
Move deeply into yourself and ask yourself: Is it really a Ferrari? Do I need a private yacht? Don't get me wrong.. if you think you need it, go get it! But you can't reach this goals until you really know what you want. Because if you just kinda want it, you will never get it anyway.

Most people don't even know about this. But still, one thing nearly everyone has in common: "I want more Money." But why do you want that money? And how much exactly is more? What do you wanna buy with that money? Do you actually know how much money you need to pursue your dreams or is that just something, that seems pretty cool to you?

Imagine travelling with a train, without knowing where you need to move, but hoping you end at the right place. It just won't work. And it's the same with your goals. To get back to the train, you need to ask yourself:

On which continent is my destination?
Which states i need to get through to reach it?
Do I need to change the train or is it enough to stay in the same?

Try being as concrete as possible so you know exactly what to do. Don't just write down the name of your next station, because if there is no sign, you will probably miss it. Take a look at photos. Take a look at how many rails there are. Just get as many details as possible, so you can focus on executing instead of thinking about the way.

As soon as you found your specific goal, you can start creating your plan. Break it down until the single steps seem so simple that you don't even see them as a big problem. Take it step by step, one at a time. Even if you are too slow, be okay with it. I can't work perfect. Sometimes you miss a train or it simply left too early. As long as you focus on making progress and have a plan, it will be fine.

Becuase, if you have a clear vision of your goal and know exactly what it takes, there's no way around getting wherever you wanted to get!
