DON'T PLAGIARIZE - MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

in #motivation7 years ago (edited)

To many people that have been keeping taps and upvoting my articles on this steemit platform, I have a quick confession. I hope you all will have an ample space in your heart to forgive and ignore my mistakes.

I have been a victim of plagiarism recently. For those that are aware of my mode of writing, I based more on writing about the poor and how to get a sudden elevation from being poor. I have carefully numerated the possible causes of poverty and how to overcome them.

In my yesterday's article, I fell into the trap of plagiarism and I was cautioned accordingly by @cheetah bot and I think I deserve it. I plagiarized because I was too lazy to think.

Note: That was my first plagiarized article and hopefully, it will be the last.

I took the whole quotes and sentences from a page in a book called "DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF ABOUT MONEY." BY RICHARD CARLSON, Ph.D. This is a book I love so much to read and I have become addicted to reading it, so I wouldn't mind reading it over and over again.

About just 1.2secs of dropping the article on steemit yesterday, I got a comment from @cheetah bot that it was a plagiarized work. Then I knew how intelligent, smart and fast the bot is. I knew I was against one of the rules I spent hours to study before beginning my steemit journey. I was caught just within secs.

I admitted to had plagiarized and I know it's a huge offence even outside steemit. It's punishable. So I will advice others and anyone planning to copy and paste, you'll be caught and you will be punished accordingly. I have learnt my lessons. I hope you learn from my mistake.
