Stop following rules! Become your best self!

The Problem

The truth that majority of people don't realize is that majority of people suffer the first major heart attack on Monday morning between 7 am and 9 am - people getting ready to go to jobs that they don't like, jobs that are making them sick.

When you're not pursuing your goal you're literally committing spiritual suicide.

The problem is that society gets wrapped around becoming a part of the machine. Instead of becoming a bunch of individuals that are expressing themselves in a unique way, sharing ideas and looking for ways to contribute together towards better tomorrow, people got sidetracked and diverted into this boxes they call companies and corporations.

The Reason

From the day you're born you're supposed to do a bunch of things. You're supposed to go to school, you're supposed to pass your tests, you're supposed to do your homework, you're supposed to clean your bedroom, you're supposed to apply for a job, you're supposed to not complain.. Supposed to, supposed to.. All the things you're supposed to do, all of the beliefs you're given - they're not yours! Everyone's wearing clothes they don't want to wear, everyone's doing things they feel no real connection to - that's the problem with our society.

So let's pretend you followed all the rules and everything you were supposed to do. Now what? You're working 8 hours a day at the job you probably don't like, where you don't feel like you're able to contribute, plus that awful commute time and that's your life in the nutshell. Are you happy with it? Did those rules help?

The Change

We need to step outside the bounds of mental slavery we're holding onto that was imposed on us by our parents, teachers, the society itself. They want to keep us mediocre, bland, vanilla....a square person in a square hole.

Now's the time. There's no point in waiting for something to happen so that you'll do something differently - you probably have and did something change?

You need to start right now, this exact moment. You can either continue to live by those rules defined by others to keep you mediocre or you stop following those rules and you make a single step towards better life.

What is it that'll make it worth for you? Find out what it is that you want and go after it as if your life depends on it.

Why?
...Because it does.

People that have found their passion, that have found things they love, things they can pour life into - those people live longer. Be who you feel you're regardless of what someone else thinks about that. The window closes so quickly so when you have an opportunity, you have to take it!

Take advantage of life.

Get busy living.

You are so on point here @extremex! I dropped out of school because I was going down that path...and it was the best decision of my life. I never looked back.

Thank you for sharing this! I'd love to hear your thoughts about my recent post: Do The Little Things In Life Really Matter?

Hey Axios, thanks for reading. Yeah, it's true, it's strange how we're defined by a bunch of rules that we should blindly follow. School can be good, but it's absurd how little the performance/marks mean later in life once you find a job, etc. I'll take a look at it, thanks!

It is absolutely absurd. Times are changing though (thank God!)
