All of us are taught a story in the early phase of our life.
The Story of the slow tortoise & fast Rabbit:
In Short:
Once upon a time, there was a turtle who challenged a rabbit for a race.
The rabbit accepted the challenge.
The race started, both the rabbit & turtle were running hard.
But as we know that rabbit is much faster than a turtle, It reached the halfway point very fast.
The rabbit turned around & couldn’t saw turtle anywhere, so he thought to take some rest.
Also thought if the turtle overtook him, he would run even faster to win the race.
But he slept for longer than he thought, & when the rabbit woke up, he couldn't see the turtle anywhere.
So he went at full speed to the finish line.
But when he reached there he saw the turtle waiting for him.
Moral of the Story: Slow & Steady Wins the race.
BUT WAIT: The Real Story Is Not Finished Yet!
Let’s talk about reality:
Do you really think that any turtle can beat a rabbit in a race?
The obvious answer is: NO
So why are we taught a very impractical lesson at the beginning of our life?
Simple Reason:
Only 5% of people on Earth are really successful & the other 95% are just born to work, complain & die.
So stories like these are circulated by 95% of people who always keep complaining about not being successful & as an excuse they bring forward stories like these.
Just like the majority of the population, it is also inserted into our young brains so that we can easily give excuses for not winning or being successful.
But In reality, we should be like the rabbit who will win the race every time when competing with any turtle.
Because, our genes are made to run fast & we cannot take example of some dumb rabbit to blame our entire generation.
Loved It Bro
Thanx buddy !
I just remembered my school class on this story
Oh Glad that it reminded of ur school day, but I hope the lesson here is completely different from the one which is taught in school.
