Is your Technology dated?

In the early days of flight, men would go out into the field and stand to approximate wind direction. If you were flying the aircraft and looking to land, you would be looking at the sway of the trees, the crest of waves or ripples caused by wind blowing over nearby water, or smoke trails from burning objects. If you were an exceptional pilot, you'd watch the movement of a cloud's shadow over the ground.
Today, we have dramatically improved the technologies used to indicate related wind direction. In fact, it's become so accurate you can be informed not only of the direction, but also of the strength, almost instantaneous.
My admonition is that we keep with the times,. Let's learn, value, and adopt new methods that have improved the way we communicate, study, work, and play.
Those early days were scary, and plagued with high risks when flying close to the ground to make observations to land. Even standing on the field before takeoff was an inaccurate science, because the wind can change direction from moment to moment without your permission.
So use the current technology and know the winds that are blowing on your life, your family, your business. That maintains your relevance through application, and gives an improved likelihood for success.
