Sometimes you have to be strong when you feel like giving up. You have to be strong for yourself. What’s meant to be will end up good and what’s not won’t. Sometimes it’s all you can do just to keep going.
I have learned a lot this past few months. I’ve learned that things don’t always turn out the way you plan, or the way you think they should. I’ve had a lot of disappointing moments. I’ve learned that some broken things stay broken. Most especially I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones as long as you have people who love you.
We are all faced with certain trials in our lives. How we chose to handle it defines us. You either fight it or give up. Don’t let today’s troubles bring you down. Don’t let your fears keep you from dreaming. Don’t give up for any reason. Great things take time to cultivate.
If you’ve ever felt like quitting and you need a reason to press on, here are a few reasons why you should never give up.
What you want won’t always come easy, but if you work hard and don’t give up you will get there. What comes easy never lasts long, and what lasts long won’t come easy. When you really want something, sometimes you have to swim a little deeper. You can’t give up just because things don’t come east. You have to overcome the obstacles and face your fears. But in the end, it’s all worthwhile. Life is full of ups and downs, but if you believe in yourself you will always come through with flying colours.
If you give up and quit early, you’d never know what could have been if you were persistent and carried on. Sometimes the hardest storms to get through are the ones your soul needs the most. The best thing that you can do in life is to follow your heart and take risks. Don’t just take the safe and easy choices because you are afraid of what might happen. Don’t have any regrets and know that everything happens for a reason.
There is no such things as a success shortcut. Be willing to take the long road or you will hit a dead end. As long as there is a will, there is going to be a way.
I see a lot of questions by new members on Steemit asking what it takes to earn a lot and become a whale. While there are a lot of answers written by awesome writers, Most of those people whom ask those questions never seem to follow through when they are guided on how too.
Majority of them are not ready to put in the work and often drop out due to lack of consistency and outright laziness. They often forget that consistency is very key. It will take time, it will require dedication, it will require a huge amount of self-discipline, and it requires sacrifice. There will be a lot of setbacks and temptations. But I promise you, when you reach your goal, it will be worth it!
The problem most quitters have is that they never seem to be able to accomplish anything self-satisfactory. “Once a quitter, always a quitter” so they say. The problem with quitting is that giving up can become a habit, because you’ve programmed your mind that you will never be able to succeed at anything. Success in life comes when you simply refuse to give up, Failure, loss, disappointments are to serve as only a source of motivation. Most of the important things in the world have been impossible to beat down a person who won’t give up.
Train yourself to have a winning mentality, that way you’d win at life.
Most of us are familiar with the name “Thomas Edison” the inventor of the light bulb; but did you know that he was fired from his first two jobs for being “non-productive”, As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.
Succeeding is usually a process of trial and error. The trick is that you shouldn’t give up just because a first, second, third attempt didn’t work out or you joined the Steemit community, spent a lot of time of articles and didn’t even make up to $1. When you feel like you can’t go any further, just know that the strength which carried you this far will take you the rest of the way.
Personally I don’t give up easily, I fight for what I want. It takes a lot for me to actually give up on something or someone. I can’t just throw away all the hard work and time I put into it. I can’t just give up because times are hard, especially if that person means so much to me. I keep fighting for what I want until I can’t fight anymore. Until giving up is the only option left.
How did you feel when you first signed up for Steemit? The feeling of excitement, the feeling of endless possibilities, I bet you were really excited. The thing is people are usually fired up and ready to go at the start of something new, it’s towards the end that they run out of steam, lose interest and they want to give up. A runner will always tell you that “The first mile is a liar, don’t ever trust it”
The final stretch is always the hardest, but that’s exactly the time that you shouldn’t give up, because you have come so far. See it through to the end and win or lose, you will be proud that you didn’t quit.
Always remember that you didn’t come this far to only come this far.
I’ve always wanted to be an inspiration to people. I want someone to look at me and say “Because of you, I didn’t give up”. In the process of living out your purpose, you will inspire others to do the same. There is no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections. If not for yourself, think of the people you could inspire by your not giving up.
Never stop trying, never stop believing, and never give up. Your day will come.
