One Punch Workout

One Punch Workout

If you’re like me, finding motivation to work out and stick with it can be an ongoing challenge. It seems I can start a regiment, but quickly lose steam after a few weeks. So as I do with most things in my life, I am going to turn to the nerd life for inspiration.

As you may know, the anime One Punch Man has been ever increasing in popularity thanks to the ever sarcastic superhero sempai Saitama. He pretty much just starts out as a regular guy and decides to become a superhero for fun. After becoming an official superhero and taking on cyborg Genos as a mentee and roommate, he revels his super-secret workout routine. Much to the surprise of everyone, it is pretty typical, and wouldn’t give the results of basically the world’s greatest puncher.

One Punch Workout

  • 100 push-ups
  • 100 sit-ups
  • 100 squats
  • 10 km run

EVERY SINGLE DAY

Side effects may include losing all your hair and kind of looking like the adult version of Caillou

So ignoring the fact that if most of us did this, we would not even be close to the strength Saitama, we can still use it as motivation. The most important part of this routine is not the number of reps or exercises, but it is the fact that he did this on matter what. No matter how much his legs hurt or how tired he was, he did this EVERY SINGLE DAY. While this workout may not give you the ability to take out evil villains with a single punch, it should inspire you to stick with your workout or whatever you’re doing.

Find your inspiration and let that motivate you to keep going. If this average dude turned hard-boiled egg head can be the greatest superhero on Earth, then surely I can find motivation to keep exercising regularly, even if that motivation is a cupcake.

Peace & Love
