Hi Family, this is a quote written by a friend of mine. He loves taking pictures, editing and making videos and stuff like that. You can check out his feed on instagtam @demar_Stewart7 (been trying to get him to join Steemit but he's still a skeptic...lol). Anyways here's my analysis of this piece. π
We live in Jamaica. A beautiful country with breathtaking scenery and wonderful people. Well, most of them are wonderful. A good number though are still asleep, immature or just plain ignorant (not a shot at my people because I assume there are shitty people in the best of places everywhere so maybe y'all can relate). π
Now, with that being said. The friend of my friend is definitely not my friend. Not until I know you and evaluated if you are someone I should be making an interaction with on that level then you're just someone I know. An acquaintance maybe. This is not me being standoffish or arrogant, I have just realized that my personal circle has to be of a certain circumference if you get the inference. π
As much as I might trust a friend I recognize a friend as a reflection of what I am as well. This does not only include my positives but my negatives as well. I think many people forget this and put their friends on pedastals or just become blind followers. I have lived like this and still occasionally forget myself in the company of my peers. I always try to center myself however.
Trust should be earned and is amazingly easy to lose. With the current state of the hearts of men I try to stay cautious, guarding my heart on all levels from these hungry devils.
Have a great day everyone, strive to be better all the time.. β
