Have you ever been in debt before?, I do not mean the type of debt that you know you will eventually pay your creditors, possibly during month end when you receive your salary. I am talking about the debt that you know in your heart of heart that your problems outweighs your income and as such you don't even have any hope to pay back.
Even if your conscience judges you too much, the only option will be to borrow from another person in other to pay the old creditor. When you discover that it is not possible to borrow from anybody else, you begin to avoid your creditor's calls and telling lies becomes a life style for you.
I have been in such spot, my own was worst because I was a Pastor and worst of all I believed in financial prosperity and that God should take care of His own.
You could imagine the surprise and humiliation I get from people I failed when I borrow money from them and can not pay back.
One day a creditor was on my neck and demanded desperately that I pay him the money I borrowed from him, I prayed to God to help me win this battle because by this time I was already considering my predicament with debt to be a battle because he wasn't the only person I was owing.
This debt syndrome as I choose to call it was becoming very bad and affecting my reputation as a Pastor so I went to God in prayers. I was not happy that morning because on a Sunday and my heart ached within.
I WENT TO GOD IN PRAYERS.
All the motivational books 
that I've ever read seem not to be working, my last resort was God. I made up my mind that if God won't help me then there was no need serving Him. I sat in Church and couldn't pick anything that was said because my mind wasn't there.
Mr Debt is a viscous wolf that comes to tear you apart and cause shame and disgrace so I thought!. Before this Sunday I have already fasted and prayed and bound all the supposed demons that where attacking me and pushing me into debt but nothing seemed to work.
After service that Sunday, before I stepped into my room, I heard these words impressed strongly into my Spirit "My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge". I knew it can be found in Hosea 4 vs 6. I quickly quoted off heart Isaiah 5 vs 13 "My People are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge". Ordinarily at that my State of mind I would have ignored it but knew those scriptures came to be a guide to me.
I reasoned that I have enough knowledge on kingdom wealth and prosperity and I am highly motivated, so my knowledge about money is okay although I should continue to learn more. But all those knowledge wasn't working.
Then it was as if God interrupted my though and began to speak to me personally. He said a lot to me that day but will tell what he allowed Mr Debt to teach me.
Mr Debt taught me that the reason why I am in debt is because I learn't about overcoming him from Mr Prosperity. He said that Mr Prosperity know only things about prosperity and the only things he can teach me is on prosperity. The more I keep getting prosperous, the more Mr Debt keeps eating away my prosperity.
He said debt is inevitable in life and good business men actually use him to make money and eventually escape his hold on them. Debt can come into your life legitimately or illegitimately. When it is legitimate, it means your reason for going into debt is justifiable and reasonable. When it is illegitimately, than the reason is not justifiable and reasonable.
Mr Debt said, the only way to overcome him is to create value or to have value that supersedes his weight. Your value is the muscle to lift off debt. Your value or worth is the currency that can be used to off set your bills. Your value or worth is the rescue team that will assist you to wrestle Mr Debt to the ground. Your value is the crushing stone that can crush Mr Debt to death. Your value or worth is your currency for the future. Your value is where your hope should lie in paying back your debt. When you lack value then you will eventually fall into debt in other to maintain your Old value.
It dawned on me that the key I was looking for to open the door of escape from the hold of Mr Debt was SELF DEVELOPMENT.
Self development creates an oil well in the destiny of any individual. Self development is the only investment that is reliable and has little or no risk. Self Development is the Gold mine of any individual.
Any undeveloped individual lacks value and is worthless. Worthlessness leads to debt. Worthlessness is the cord used by Mr debt to hold one captive. I had to tell myself the truth that my value at that time was small and powerless in defeating Mr debt. I made up my mind to add value into my life that will supersede the hold of Mr Debt in my life.
I borrowed some credit from my cellular network and called my creditor. This was after I have avoided his calls for long. I apologized to him and told him that there is nothing I will say that he would want to listen to but within seven days I will get his money ready. I dropped the call and went into preparing a sermon that I do not know where I was going to preach it at that time.
I told myself that I will prepare the message and God will do his part of creating where the message should be preached. I was fully loaded that up until the next Sunday morning, no preaching appointment had come but was invited to attend a graduation ceremony of some students in a particular campus.
GRADUATION CEREMONY GROUND.
They had everything well planned and a speaker had already been booked to speak in that ceremony. The ceremony started and half way through it, the organizers walked up to me where I was sitted and told me that they know I am a Pastor and that the person that was booked to speak said he can't make it. They asked me if I could take his place. I replied, no problem!.
WHEN I WAS CALLED TO THE PODIUM TO PREACH
I was called up to the podium and I preached as if that would be the last message I would every preach in my life. At the end of the whole thing, I was given a brown envelop filled with money. I got home, called my creditor and told him that his money is ready and since I have it cash that I will pay it into his account by Monday morning. I perceived he felt ashamed for the way he harassed me initially but that didn't bother me because I knew I will have peace from then henceforth because I have defeated Mr Debt for the first time.
Are you in debt, focus on developing yourself and your value will solve a problem that will put money into your pocket and destroy the hold of Mr Debt in your life.

Never loan money to someone you know can not pay you back or someone who has a reputation for not keeping to their words. You can start a money lending business with your friends who have a reputation for keeping to their words. The best people to loan money to are not your friends but the bank.Yes! your Bank. Banks don't only loan money to their customers but also borrow from them.
You can loan money to your Bank through fixed deposit. Many don't understand the principle of fixed deposit and how it can work for them. Take for instance, you are entrusted with some money or some money entered into you hand and will stay with you for more than 30 days, through fixed deposit, you can make some money with that money. So by the time you are returning the money to the owner, it has giving birth to some extra money for you.

You put in great effort here and the quality of this post can say it all. Debt is a silent killer, it is sweet and tricky when entering but onces a debtor, you lost every of your right and honour, and silently it will be eating you up esp when you are unable to payback.
