Overcome laziness

Laziness...

Sometimes you feel like you can't go on no more, because you have worked so hard and you feel tired. There are so many times that we feel lazy and don't wan't to do nothing. I can tell you that I have a lot of times where I feel like doing nothing and just lay down. After some time you become lazy everyday. So in this article I want to tell you how I threw laziness out of my life.

Steps

The first thing that you need to do, is by doing things in steps. For instance if you have a lot of things you want to do, do these things in order. So if I need to do the following things:

- Read my new thriller
- Write blogpost
- Watch episodes of my Lynda course
- Study math

Sometimes the list is much longer. The problem, is that we all want to do things as fast as possible. That is not a good idea. When I did things in a linear order without stopping or taking a break, I did not remember 50% of what I learned. I discovered by doing things in steps and with breaks between them, I learned better and became less lazy and more productive. For example I did it like this:

- Read 10 Pages of my new thriller
- 15 minutes break
- Write blogpost
- 30 minutes break
- Watch 3 episodes of my Lynda course
- 15 minutes break
- Study math

By learning and planning this way, you will have more focus. The reason for this is pretty simple. If you try to do this list at once, your brain won't have enough time to persist all the information you just tried to save into your brain. The reason that I put 30 minutes of break after creating a blogpost is, because blogpost can become very large. So if you do more work give your brain the rest it needs. Also by giving breaks, you will feel more relaxed.

Don't try to do everything at once, take small steps. Try to do something spreaded over the day. In the mean time don't forget to take some rest, eat something or have a 15 minute walk. When you start learning or working, focus on what you are doing and leave your cellphone until you have a break. This way you won't have time being lazy.

Planning

This part is very important. We all know that planning is important. We as humans have a lot of things to do. If you don't know how to plan things, you will forget things.

How do you plan? What is the right time to plan? First,  you plan your day is very important. What I do is, I plan the things that I need to do on a daily basis and spread them over the week. This way I know what I will be doing tommorow and the day after, because I have things that I need to do everyday written down. So these things are out of the way. Next you need think about the small things you need to do. Do not forget to write it down into an agenda or something.

Now the question is, what is the right time to make a planning. Do it before you go to sleep. When you are done with everything for the day. Before you go to sleep you can think more carefully. If you can, try to plan things for the whole week.

So try to plan things that you will be doing on a daily basis and write them down. Plan these things over 7 days of the week. You can plan the smaller things everyday at night before you go to bed or if you can, plan for the whole week.

Conclusion

Keep busy. Try to plan your day so you are busy and have something to do in order to overcome laziness. When you do this, keep in mind that you do things in steps and try to give yourself some rest after you have finished something. If you can plan your whole week instead of one day at a time. So keep busy, but work smart in order to get better results.
