Being happy or staying happy is one of the things i believe should not be negotiated. It is true that we cannot always have it our ways, but when we see the things keeping us from being happy, it is logical to break away from them.
You are not tied to anything, neither is your happiness a thing that must be tied down by anything, be it relationship, family or friends.
If you are in a relationship and your happiness is always the only thing that suffers, then you should have a rethink. It is one thing to love, it is another to be loved. If you love and you are loved but you are not happy, you need to reexamine the relationship.
Socrates says that an unexamined life is not worth living. At every point, you need to check if your happiness is being traded for the relationship, if yes, then reevaluate the whole thing and probably make a U-turn.
It might be your job that is not making you feel happy. The important thing about job is that it must be something you love. If it is, it would be hard for you to be sad doing that which you love. But if it is not what you love, then you might not be happy with it.
You need to conceptualise the possibility of quitting it. See what will probably happen if you do, will you be happier or more sad? Would quitting the job make you more happier even without a new job? These are the things only you can do.
As an individual, i don't negotiate when it comes to that which makes or will make me happy. If anything would hinder my happiness in the future or even the next day, i will move away from it with 'style'.
It is better to make tough decisions than being a coward and suffer that which you would have prevented. Never negotiate your happiness! Stay happy!
Thanks.
Hmmm, I've known people who focus on their happiness. A strange thing, but not one of them ever found happiness, while in the end they sacrificed anything and everyone who meant anything to them.
To do what you say needs wisdom, and only a fool thinks of himself as wise.
Wisdom, yes! A man needs to be happy. It doesn't have to be a selfish thing. But trading your own happiness for something not 'worth' it would be a mistake because if you are not happy, you 'cannot' be productive!
Feel like you're speaking to me..
Oh really? Thanks for reading it.
