The Imbalanced Earth

Back in our early stages in life, when a person is asked how he envisions himself in the future, he tends to automatically give answers that are very interesting to them or those that pick up their interest without having any second thoughts if they are farfetched or superficial on their respective ends—it may be a form of status, opportunity, or power. For man is still too young and too naive to think that life would be easy. It may matter on what spoon you are born or what privileges you are blessed with. Yet, rest assured, there will still be challenges that man will encounter during his journey in life. It may not seem as heavy as others difficulties, but still, it will be a burden on your own end.

Man is also a very dependent being. He tends to lean on a higher being than himself to entrust his faith and future. Moreover, this inclination of man toward these so-called higher beings he prays for does not give him any reassurance or anything that could alleviate his way of living at all. On the contrary, man’s enemy would be himself because, according to what man believes, what is just and what is evil are only bound by earthly norms or human preference and not through divine intervention. Thus, norms should be subjective because of the presence of human imperfections, but nevertheless, we still need to have standardized general norms to follow in order to promote what we called “peace and order”.

Having said these propositions about man’s vision of life and man’s concept of acceptability and norms, we can still see the progress and growth of man. However, this growth of man is unpredictable and inconsistent. We are talking about growth that is visible and that is not visible to the naked eye. More so, the growth of man is not objectified to be one path alone, but instead, man’s projection of life differs based on his own individual wills. The growth of man will also play a big factor in forming his future outcome because it will depend on the choices he makes with his life. Moreover, the writer does not exclude the possibility of luck and coincidence because they could sometimes play a part or be part of our turning points to reach a better ceiling.

Given that these things exist in man’s life, there is still a possibility that man’s efforts in life will be deemed unnecessary. If man is bound to suffer, why resist? If man is bound to be rich, why work? If man is bound to die poor, why put in so much work? The writer is opening up the concept of Faith or Destiny. The writer is puzzled: if such miraculous interventions are present, why exert effort? If hard work is the basis for being recognized, why are not all hard-working individuals equally honored? Thus, these terms are more complicated than they seem. The writer wanted you to assess what it meant for the man—you. Despite our efforts, are we bound to a certain path, or do we have the power to change what’s in store for us? And how can we say it is meant for us?

In conclusion, no one has the reassurance of what you will become here in our earthly realm. Thus, comparison is unnecessary, for we are different in being and in path. Thus, as long as time exists, we must not be afraid to explore the possibilities and opportunities that life has to offer. Remember, time is very short, and “Tempus Neminem Manet”. You are the author of your own story.

  • The important thing is Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise. Not to mention, overall plagiarized content is bad for your credibility and visibility too.
