Your Daily Motivation!

If you have to get anything done, there are only two ways to get it done by yourself.
The first, more popular and often wrong option is to try to motivate yourself.
The second, somewhat unpopular and absolutely correct choice is to cultivate discipline.
I like to think of discipline as “what to do” and motivation as “why to do”.
Discipline is an act of love. Here and there you need be harsh to be kind : Not all prescription is sweet, not all surgery is painless, however we need to take it.

We have to learn from nature.

We all know about the enormous creature, the giraffe. A mom giraffe brings forth a baby giraffe,while standing. All of a sudden, the infant falls on a hard surface from the pad of mom's womb, and sits on the ground. The first thing mom does is to get behind the infant and give him a hard kick. The infant gets up, however his legs are feeble and unbalanced hence, the infant tumbles down. Mother goes behind again and gives him one more kick. The infant gets up however takes a seat once more. Mom continues kicking till the infant stands up and begins moving. Why? Since mother realizes that the only possibility of survival for the child in the wilderness is to get on its feet. Else it will be eaten up by wildcats and move toward becoming dead meat.

My Question to you : Is this a demonstration of love? You bet it is.
Youngsters brought up in a loving, disciplined environment wind up respecting their parents more and become law abiding citizens.
The reverse is also evident.
Knowing yourself is the key to have stronger discipline. It is really difficult to fight urges and the things that you want. For instance, if you like eating fast-food eating too much sweet foods, you should resist or stay away from places where you know you can find them.
It is extremely hard to battle desires and the things that you want. For example, on the off chance that you like eating fast-food and excessively sweet food and you want to lose weight for some event, you should resist or avoid places where you know you can find them. That is discipline!
Self-Discipline has a lot to offer to you. It builds your self-confidence. When you are disciplined, you know who you are, what you can do and what you should not do. That is what most of us need to know to make good decisions and be successful.
