The truth is that some people simply don't want to grow. Some people are comfortable being stagnate. They can't handle change very well, they're fearful to try something new. Let them be! Why limit yourself because of someone else's fears?
This is where a lot of pain occurs for people, when their time comes to grow and evolve, they hold back to try to remain in what's familiar, they try to force dead relationships, they try to keep toxic friendships that are not genuine.
So much pain occurs here, because we don't easily trust the gift life has to offer next. Don't lower your vibration to make others happy. You can't change people, so don't hurt yourself trying. Move gracefully into your own development and accept your evolution!"

This is so true, well said. We become the people we associate with, even the strong minded ones. Its like a river slowly but surely altering the landscape within which it flows. Toxic friendships are the worst though.

The word "co-dependent" comes to mind. When you stay in a relationship that is negative and both people continue to bring out negativity in the other (or keep one another from growing), it is bad all around!
