Discover Your Passion and Create The Life You Truly Want

in #motivational6 years ago (edited)

There are a lot of successful people out there who are living their life the way they want to. They are working hard doing what they actually love to do. The most successful people are always those who work toward the things they love and are passionate about.
There are a lot of reasons for this. The more you love whatyou do, the more effort you are going to put into it, because you will be enjoying your work.
But if you feel like you are bored with your life and you’re not doing what you should be doing with it then it is definitely time to make a change.
Now, I know there could be obstacles or fears holding you back from accomplishing the goals you have set forth in your life. But it is time to get past the obstacles and make your dreams happen.

Many people aren’t really sure what their true passion is. They desire to work toward being successful as they see other people, however they just aren’t sure what it is that they can do.
Discovering your passion is possible and it will probably take some deep searching within yourself.
Your passion could be right in front of you and you don’t even realize it.
Every passion has the capacity of making money. It is just seeing the approach you need to take to make it happen. You shouldn’t sit back and avoid your passion because you don’t believe you could financially survive on it, because you can.

Questions to Ask Yourself

When you are searching for your true passion, there are many questions you need to ask yourself.
Answering these questions will help you learn more about yourself and find out what might be holding you back from being happy and pursuing your passions.
You might want to get out a notepad to answer these questions or perhaps make a mental note. Writing the answers down is usually better.

What really inspires and engages you?

This question may be a little challenging to answer but you may find the answer after you finish the rest of the questions. However, you have to be very clear about where you get your inspiration from. What would be the types of things you find engaging and thrilling?

If you couldn’t fail, what would you do?

A lot of people don’t do things because they are afraid to fail or maybe they have failed in the past. If there is something that you would do for sure if you knew there isn’t any chance whatsoever of failing what would that be?

If you were forced to start over again, what would you do?

A lot of people find themselves in situations where they are not living as they wish they were. They go to work because they have to, but they are not enjoying a single day of it. If you started all over again would you take advantage of the new beginning or would you go back to where you are now?

If money wasn’t an issue, what would you do?

Most people have desires they wish to pursue but they never really attempt to move forward because they simply cannot afford to get started. Think of what you would like to do if you had the money to do it.

What is your biggest dream?

If you have a big dream, what is it? There has to be something you really want to do that you dream about.

What is the biggest barrier stopping you from following your dream?

Write down all of the things that have caused you to not follow your big dreams. These things might be people who do not support you, fears, money, and other things. There are many different kinds of barriers that can be overcomed. Maybe you’re not seeing opportunity or success with your dreams or you may fear that people would make fun of you. Maybe you’re not even skilled and lack talent. These could be barriers causing you not to move forward.

What passion are you afraid of owning or admitting?

Most people have dreams and passions they are hesitant to talk about, out of fear of being made fun of by other people. You might think your passion is silly to other people. What is this one thing?

Turning Passions and Goals into Reality
Now that you know what your passion is you need to make it really happen. Here are the things you should do to make it happen.

Believe

The most important thing is to believe that you will be successful. You really can be successful but if you do not believe it then you shouldn’t even bother to get started until you do.

Attitude

Your attitude could make you or break you. You must maintain a complete positive attitude. Do not let the little things get you down or upset you. Every obstacle now is a learning experience. You need to have a positive outlook on everything you do. When you have a good attitude things will begin to work in your favor more often than they ever have before.

Build Momentum

The best way to build momentum is to act on the ideas you have. Act right away and don’t sit around waiting for something to happen or come to you. The same holds true for a problem you need to fix. You need to act on it. The more responsive you are the more you will build a momentum that is hard to break. Your laziness will go away and you will become more productive.

Sacrifice and Hard Work!

In the majority of cases when someone works toward a passion, they are ready to work hard and willing to sacrifice just about anything.
When you first start off with your new job you could find that you are very poor to begin with. You cannot expect to be successful overnight. Things will take time, but the important thing is that you will be doing what you enjoy. You will be required to work long hours and sacrifice time with your family and many other things.

Sacrifice is one of the most important things you must do if you want to be successful.
There is absolutely no substitute for hard work if you want to reach your goals. Only you can accomplish the goals you set for yourself and you will have to work very hard to get to where you want to be. Embrace long hours, sweat and tears because they will be rewarding in the end.

Perhaps the most important thing is that when you will be old you can look back on your life and know you did everything you wanted to do and you have no regrets.

Success will never come easy but you would rather work toward a passion than going to a job you hate every single day. This passion is yours and you own it.

While the message of this post seems simple on the surface, it is surprising how we forget that what we do for career impacts our lives. The passion and purpose in our lives needs to be fed. This post reminded me that a job is just a means to earning money, not my life. It strips away the noise and makes you refocus on what really makes you happy. Thank you for this post.

Hey foofoo. Thank you for your kind words!
