2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 2016 Washougal 250/450 Moto 1&2

The track at Peterson CAT Washougal National is always tricky... This year proved no different...

Dungey won here last year and with him sidelined can anyone stop Roczen?

nice :)

I live in Portland, and make an effort to go to this race every July... this year my riding buddies from Calif didn't come up, so I stayed home and watched online. Last year Washougal was a mudfest, but this year almost perfect weather. In person, the hills are much steeper than they look on the screen. One of the jumps at the top of the track just launches the riders amazingly into the air -- truly impressive.

I've been a Eli Tomac fan for a few years, and nice to see him back in form. I think his shoulder injuries are mostly healed, so the last few races could be crazy cool. Roczen is really, really good... the way he can carve through the pack in huge chunks is amazing. Reminds me of DeCoster; smart, technically near perfect, and deceptively fast.

Oh yeah, I should mention, the 250 class is really badass this year too.

You are right Roczen is very good. I watched his progress on MXGP (our local version of the ama which im sure you know but people here might not) and he dominated in his KTM days here. I still wish he was on team orange... With Dungey and him as team mates on the bike KTM has now... wow!

250 class this year is BANANAS! So much tallent! The sport is really in for some good years :)

:) love a bit of futurama haha nice one @magix

My favorite video I can watch it endlessly:

nice :)

I've broken leg on a motorbike 20 years ago, had difficult 6 months, pressing pedal with stick while driving. But I'm still interseted in bikes

Sorry to hear that @busser, i had a few close calls on my R6 which is what made me sell up and go off road. Unfortunately once bikes get in your blood... they are there for life :)

It was interesting.

Respect to anyone doing this. I recently had a discussion with a guy back in the UK who told me of a horrific accident he had in competitive motocross. Shattered many bones, and I mean shattered. Lungs needed to be drained for weeks to keep him alive etc. He pulled through and is now full of metal where there should be bones and... racing again of course. You're a slightly mad bunch :-)

Its the horrible side of the sport. It can be brutal and as with anything in life you need to make your own choice if its for you or not... Motor racing in all its forms is inherently dangerous, look at F1 for an example. Modern tech has made it safer that's for sure but there is still a lot more that can be done. That said I think as long as you stay within your limits then it can be very safe.Agreed @oliverb! It takes a certain type of person... I have been in a few nasty ones but seen a lot worse...

Cool, this is realy entertainment ;D
