Hey there fellow Steemians!
Yesterday was a good day for me as some of you know already given by earlier posts. First things first, I was supposed to work nightshifts this week, luckily I called in early and asked if I could get the week off and lucky me, I got to stay home:) After that snow came back, and I knew I had to take the oppertunity and get my husky out on a little trip to take some pictures and make some new video's.
It was a pretty cloudy day so it was very cold, luckily I brought my wintergloves before leaving home. I think it was around -15C at the coldest, doing 80 - 100mph then is pretty darn cold:p Anyhow, I got my bike out and took some picture on an old road that leads to a wood working area. (Don't know what its called, but they chop down trees and transport them out on this road) Here's some of the pictures I'm the most satisfied with.
After taking some photo's here I went further up the road a few miles where my girlfriend and I sometimes take our lunch, it's a little camping/grill spot next to this itty bitty lake that's supercozy all year round. I took some more picture's there too.
After that I just went on a joyride through the small "town" I live in and just enjoyed being able to ride my bike around. I got myself a cheesebacon sausage on the station too, which is never bad. Well, for the belly I'm currently carrying around it's quite bad, but it's just too damn good not to enjoy some real junk once in a while:p
I had been awake for about 22 hours at the time I got back home and I was basically a frozen stick walking around the house. I started uploading the GoPro footage and my photographs to the pc. I then went downstairs and filled up a bath for myself which I never should have done:p I got supertired after the bath, but somehow managed to get through editing most of the footage from that day and uploading it. After that I just went to bed to get myself a powernap, woke up 1 hour later and was feeling fresh enough to get through the rest of the day. The rest of the day was spent in front of the tv and walking the dog.
On the new video part, I got a whole lot stored for the coming days, one short little clip and two longer video's of me taking the Husqvarna 701 on ICE for the first time. I was superexcited when I realised the ice was thick enough to ride on so I grabbed the Mavic Pro, GoPro5 the Zoom H2 and went on the ice and basically had the time of my life.
Pretty shattered right now, as I just finished the 3 video's. Gonna go grab me some food and spend a few hours doing nothing the rest of the day and get a good nights sleep before going on the ice again tomorrow. (hopefully)
See you in the next one!
Great post with great shots! I've never been somewhere so cold that its -15, much less riding a bike at 80mph! You must've been freezing. Love the shots as well. The bike is a really great subject in the white conditions made by the snow! I look forward to seeing more of your journeys!
Thank you so much! :) I'm suspecting you live longer south than me if you've never experienced colder weather than -15:p And I have to agree, the husky goes well with the snow, all I do is point and shoot, the bike does all the work:p
