"There is a time to sow and a time to reap, and a season to everything"
The moment we begin to understand how seasons work and begin to do the things we should at the times they are meant to be done, we will begin to see that 24 hours is more than enough to live daily and also be productive.
While at work, lots of people use the time for work to do lots of trivial stuff and then have loads of unfinished work to do. This mismanagement of time at the work place comes in many forms.
- Excessive chit chat at every slight opportunity at work.
- Covering up for lazy co-staff.
- Doing other people's tasks because you want to be too nice.
This mismanagement leads to;
- Less productivity at work.
- Loss of time to spend with family.
- Loss of ethusiasm to work.
- Loss of concentration at work.
- Overload of workload.
- Putting in overtime at work.
- Loss of time to take care of other aspects of life.
All this because people do not understand that when it's time to work, they ought to actually work.
Eventually this attitude hurts not just the company, but also hurts the psychology of the staff. It affects the relationship with family and loved ones.
The extra hours now required to do the work that ought to have been done during work hours will now deprive the person the hours needed to spend with family and those who matter.
Extra hours will now be put in to making someone else happy to the detriment of your happiness.
Extra hours will now be removed from meaningful moments to be enjoyed with the people who make life worth living.
Life is only lived in the moment. Tomorrow can never be experienced in reality.
Do what you have to do when it's time to do it.
What a wonderful story my friend
