wow sir Keith, these are some awesome shots! man, I love that top one but all of them are dang good. It looks like Victoria is growing with those construction cranes and all. I think that one photo is a sun and not a moon.

haha! hey sir keith, I think alot of people care! That was a joke right? Your followers care, I know they do. lol. I don't want Victoria to become a big, booming city, I like the thought of it as being a nice little city or a big town.
No, I meant nobody cares if I "break the rules" by throwing the sun into a series of twilight shots. That's all I was trying to say, LOL! Victoria is growing and there's no stopping it. The whole place is in a major construction boom. It will probably slow down a bit now, because I understand real estate prices are dropping, at least over in Vancouver. I like Victoria because I can walk most places I need to go, but it has everything you can imagine in terms of food and shopping and so forth.
Sir Keith! well that's true, it's big enough to have everything you need so you don't have to travel far. But you don't need it any bigger.
I agree, and prices are already so high here. More people just keeps driving everything up.
yes sir and if it's a real nice area then lots of wealthy people come in and prices sky-rocket out of the average person's ability to pay and then eventually you have to sell and move somewhere else like Montana! lol.

Oh, to be surrounded by nonstop mountains like this. It keeps that awful winter at bay. ;)

Busy tossing up between two options at the moment, the Sigma 70mm at 5770 which I can afford now or save a bit longer and get the Sony 90MM which is 400 more, choices choices LOL
Sigma has image stabilization, right? I don't know if that matters - my Nikon macro is a 105 f/2.8 - no stabilization.
Not this one, its a newish Lens, and they went for image quality over Stabilization, but my A77iii has IBIS which would help,
that said thats a part of the reason why I am considering saying for the sony 90MM which does have image stabilization

Wonderful shots. I really like the first one; the minimalist color pallet really appeals to me in that photographic composition.

And what might that ghostly figure be? Took me a minute to focus but there is something out of place...
Thanks very much! It actually was the sun in that photo. The ghostly figure is a guy bent over at the waist doing something on the dock. The photo was a long exposure so it picked up his movement and made that blur.
50-50 chance and I blew it. Sun not moon. You can make out the figure of a man but it makes for an interesting shadow for an added feature. 😊
