The continuation of the cult series of films, started by George Lucas, tries to fill the loss of the young fans with new spectators. Each trilogy had its own army of fans, both loyal to their time, and the starfighter passing from one era to another. And this will never change. No matter how picky some of the viewers were, there will always be those who will be happy with everything. The newest trilogy, which currently has 2 parts, can not but be criticized, but it can not but be praised."The last Jedi" continues in the "Awakening Force" and unfortunately the new part does not apply the time gap, used in each part removed earlier. This is the very first thing that a picky fan will abuse this movie. That is, the film begins quite expectably. Nostalgia recalls the initial frames of each past part, in which the characters developed, matured, acquired skills, titles. And here there are no surprises. Almost all stay in the same places on which they were at the end of "Awakening Force".
The second claim is illogical behavior and plot unpredictability. The plot that can not be foreseen is not bad. But here it happens, something like the style of the series "The Game of Thrones", where the authors deliberately play with the spectator's emotions, quite unceremoniously killing important characters. But if the plot's unpredictability is not so bad and adds tension and thickening of colors, illogicality always hurts the perception of the work. Some characters for some reason do not behave as they did before. And this is the consequences of the controversial decision of the authors to make certain events unpredictable. One of the worst frustrations of modern cinema is the unpredictability that generates illogicality. But it is worth paying tribute to the new part that there are not many such controversial points here. Immediately it is worthwhile to say that several plot twists have been worked out perfectly and practically overshadow the unsuccessful ones.
One of the main ideas of the film is self-sacrifice in the name of a good goal. But out of three such moments, two are completely illogical and far-fetched, which could easily be avoided.
A few not very interesting characters from the last episode, in the new part, have ceased to be bothersome and appear in the frame only when it is appropriate. Fin is not so intrusive and airtime at him exactly as much as his character is worthy.
Remarkable Ray in the performance of Daisy Ridley is still as interesting and her image continues to be painted with new colors and will do it in the final part of the trilogy, I'm sure.
Kylo Ren in the new part is much more interesting and multifaceted. Now it's not just a whiny and whimsical teenager but a real insidious anti-hero with his strong character and plans for a later life. But was not he growing up too fast ?! After all, no time has passed from the events of the past part. Anyway. His general storyline with Ray deserves praise for writers.
A lot of disputes will cause the legendary Luke Skywalker. In terms of acting skills to Mark Hemill never questions, he is still a brilliant dubbing actor and a great professional in the cinema. But the expectations associated with it the film does not justify. Zamah on the ruble, but in the end zilch, the scale is great, and the blow to the penny. Because of the authors' craving for unpredictability, the great Star Wars character suffers.
No one doubted that the visual series in the film would be excellent. There is no doubt that in this Oscar nomination the film will compete for the victory and possibly receive the coveted statuette.
In contrast to the 7th episode, the 8th almost does not mess. He only occasionally repeats the plot of the original episodes. The new part presents something new and curious, but not new enough. There is hope for a final episode, but if this does not happen, then Disney's studio promises to expand the cinematic universe, where they will definitely have to come up with a new one.
Unfortunately, the last Jedi does not answer a number of questions asked in the last part. There is hope for answers in the 9th episode. Wait, it seems like a trivial luring. A typical reception of the series, where the final of the series ends and appears the inscription "to be continued". Again there is a sense of deception and manipulation, a kind of hypnosis from the graduating studio. But this is really so.
"But to hell, it's the Star Wars, hypnosis worked and waiting for a new episode"
