I'm looking for gymkata. I don't know how I missed this gem of a movie. Remember all the 80s martial art movies. Blood Sport was on of my favorites. @hanshotfirst, thank you for the laughs.
My pleasure! Oh yeah I saw Bloodsport in the theater. My favorite scene in Gymkata is where he just so happens to find a pommel horse right in the middle of a village.
So the movie was terrible then? Hee hee, this is the second time in a row I've felt a driving need to watch a movie based on your enthusiastic recommendation!

Haha! My children are growing out of kids movies. I started..young, I have step-sons that are just over a decade younger than me and at the time I got involved they were still kids so it didn't seem like there was a reason to wait to have my own. But pretty soon I'm going to have to borrow my friends kids to have excuses to watch them! (I am also a perpetual child lol)
I just watched the first movie, it's- WOW! :)
Classic adventure story with an unusual twist, funny references.
But the most amazing is the unique animation and the world. Always something going even on in the background. I didn't even notice how time flew.
Awesome! I'm glad you liked it. I would have felt bad if I had encouraged you to waste your time. Good point about the backgrounds. They pay attention to every detail. The billboards are all funny too.
i thought that it is too children's, that's why i missed it. Although I love cartoons and I love LEGO... I can't even find the reasons why I had not watched it, i'm confused :) I run to watch it right now!
I just need to make the effort to go and watch it. Although it is school vacation for two weeks in France now, so that I may take a day off and bring my son :)

Yeah the first is a kids take on"the heroes journey" much more clever than it needed to be. I was very pleased with it.

Definitely a great kids movie... but I would have watched it without kids. Please report back and tell me what you think.
