Guilt forced Chris to make a fourth tour, and Taya told Chris that Taya might not be there when he returned. Back in Iraq, Chris was tasked with killing Mustafa, who had shot a US Army combat engineer building a barricade. Chris's sniper team is placed on the roof inside enemy territory. Chris sees Mustafa and takes him out with a risky shot at 2,100 yards (1,920 meters), but this shows his team's position is known by a number of armed guerrillas. In the middle of a shootout and a little ammunition, Chris calls Taya with tears in his eyes and tells him that Chris is ready to go home. The sandstorms provide protection for the chaotic escape where Chris is injured and almost left behind.
