If you haven't seen this film, you should.
I am generally not a big fan of flicks like this, but this one had it all.
- Good story
- Good acting
- Good special effects
- Good director
If you haven't heard of it, it's the latest creation from Steven Spielberg.
The Plot:
It takes place in a futuristic world where people take breaks from virtual reality to deal with real life, instead of the other way around.
It centers around a gamer who spends his whole life online, just like most youth's do.
The creator of the greatest online gaming environment was created by a late genius who also decided to place special keys and clues inside of his creation that would give a huge monetary windfall to whoever could find the keys and solve the clues.
In doing so they would find his Easteregg, which is gaming lingo for a hidden gift within the game.
Overall, the film was great fun for everyone.
Kids especially get really into this movie because it focuses on things they are very much interested in and involved with already.
Roblox was mentioned several times.
Steven Spielberg was true to form in this one as well.
There aren't many Spielberg films that I did not enjoy.
There are already rumors of a sequel being in the works, I personally can't wait.
I belong to this great book club and one of my friend is so engrossed with this novel, now that the movie is out he's obsessed with it already.
He talks of the great plot in the novel, but I can't resist the spell of Steven Spielberg, so I'll watch it because of him.
Movie was great, but the book was MUCH better. That being said the adaptation worked really well, even if it was toned down for more of a "kid" audience.
....and they had Battle Toads in the movie! (hardest game ever).
Interesting i was very skeptical about this movie at first, something about using every videogame character out there to appeal a broad audience didnt really bought it for me, but after a comment from a friend who watched the movie and now reading your post here kinda changed my mind i'll go watch it this week!
After reading this Post of yours , I will definitely see the Film.
A film that pays homage to the era of the 80s and its culture in general. This very well done and is entertaining at all times.
